Dr. Dawn Carpenter is an award-winning ethicist, podcast host, producer, documentary filmmaker, and former social purpose investment banker with nearly three decades of experience exploring the moral dimensions of economic life.

She created and hosts the award-winning podcast What Does It Profit? and directed, produced, and co-wrote Interwoven, which has received 15 film festival awards.

A jury member of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, Carpenter uses storytelling as a form of public pedagogy to amplify stories of contributive justice, the solidarity economy, and human dignity.

She also advises the Vatican’s Economy of Francesco, a global initiative convening young leaders, economists, and entrepreneurs to reimagine economic systems around human dignity and the common good.
